Kingston Seeks Minister’s Permission to Exhibit

Kingston Council has written to the Minister for Planning, Hon. Richard Wynne MP, seeking authorisation to prepare and exhibit our proposal to re-develop the Kingswood golf course at Dingley Village.

The mayor, Cr Steve Staikos, confirmed council had taken the next step in the planning process, bringing the project one step closer to fruition. Under the Victorian Planning Provisions, the land must be rezoned from Special Use Zone to General Residential Zone before the proposed residential estate can begin, and Council must have the Minister’s approval.

Exhibition will enable all interested parties to view the plans and make a submission to Council about the proposed development. Such parties include those keen to buy into the development, local tradespeople, businesses in Dingley Village and the surrounding suburbs, neighbours, community groups and anybody else interested in the proposal.

Dates for exhibition will be made public by Council once it receives the Minister’s permission, along with information about how submissions can be made. Details will be published on this website also.

Council’s media release with news of their decision to approach the Minister can be read here.
